Annicariad........born in the Vale of Neath, moved to Swansea, lived in London, Oxford, LA, Italy, and now West wales. Three lovely boys, three lovely dogs...yes, we bought a collie puppy today!, I work for the World's Local Bank, take pictures, garden, cook and socialise, read, walk as much as possible, and love traveling. It was my idea to start the group, and, after a few false starts, we managed to get a great group together. Nowadays, work is so full-on, I am finding trouble finding time to do the things I love...so work is being put on to the back burner, and I've applied for a job in my local branch....interview Tuesday 2.30pm...PRAY FOR ME!!!! I'm hoping to get back into WFC asap, and dying to get together with everyone again soon. XXXX

"Brian was born in Chester and has travelled all over the world with the RAF. Started living in Wales in late 2002 when he met up again with Jean, whom he went out with at grammar school. Lives in Colwyn Bay and works for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service as Support Services Co-ordinator. Main hobby, other than photography, is playing in brass bands."

Kev, professional procrastinator & Debbies personal chauffeur on WFC socials.

Started taking photos in school when they made it a complete afternoon session. "Here is a camera, go out and take some pictures, bring it back and develop the film and print them." Great!

My first real camera was a Pentax ME. Still got her. Have now gone down the Canon digital road (Blame Sean Bolton for that :) & MR7 as he pillaged all my remaining Pentax gear ;)

Born & raised in Llandybie, lived in Mid Wales for a while and now resident in Swansea.

My passport to the North has expired but MR7 has promised to sneak me across the border in the boot of his car, if it works;) If not I'm sure he will get me a cab :)

I'm a Father of 2 boys & work is currently for Vodafone UK. "Make the most of now" Yeah, well maybe tomorrow... :-D

Contrary to popular belief, I'm only 38 and have spend 34 of those years in my beloved Wales. Born in Tredegar, but defected north to Llandudno in the 70's. I have two sons, Sam and Leon. Both interested in photography and I have too many other hobbies to list. Just to scare you, I'm a Funeral Director, althought I used to be a teacher and that was much much worse! Oh and STAR WARS = Life.

Mike, born in Swansea but moved to England when I was four. I have been back in Wales now for well over twenty years, and for most of that time I have lived in the village of Seven Sisters, and have run my taxi company in Swansea. I love walking, reading, fishing, motorcycles, and of course photography, I like to travel and explore, and I am very inquisitive. I have a 16yr old son called Luke who some of you will have met at the photomeets, and when it goes, I also drive a diesel hatchback.

Mike, born in England but lived in mid wales for over 20 years. Three children, currently 17 -22, all fluent in Welsh. Learnt developing and printing from my father at the age of 14, been taking photographs ever since and still learning. Macro photography is my speciality particularly butterflies and probably most proud of having my own 5 acre wildlife reserve. Apart from photography I enjoy walking and riding in the hills around home. Work is a computer shop in Brecon.

Simon
Simon, from Newport, married two kids. Also hobby and gear mad, apart from the photography, I'm into golf and music. I've played keyboards for a while, and have also been recording new ideas at home. I started to learn the guitar last year, slow progress, but progress nevertheless!
I work in IT.

"Gareth was born in Derby (but doesn't tell anybody that) and moved (back home) to Abergavenny at the age of 4. Now lives in Cwmbran and is hobby mad. Guitar, cycling, golf, ice hockey, PHOTOGRAPHY - you name it, drives Mrs Polts23 crazy. Loves gadgets and boys toys. HR Manager in a supermarket distribution centre."

WFC_Admin_Mug_shot
"Sean lives in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, but was born in Monnmouthshire; which according to his wife makes him practically English - that's fighting talk! Sean has always had a serious gadget addiction, hence his favourite pastime being photography and his profession being IT Coordinator for a Swansea charity dedicated to tackling the cause and effect of social exclusion."

Sandeha Lynch

Sandeha first came to live in Wales in 1995 and works in the Swansea Valley as a Key Skills assessor. He has a BA, an MSc, and a criminal record, plays Blues on alto sax, fixes old cameras, drives a diesel hatchback, and loves midwinter ('cos that's when he goes to Italy). More nerd than geek.

Steve, born in Guildford, Surrey (oops... another non Welshy..). Moved to Cardiff when I was 6. Sound Engineer by trade, Geek by night... Married to Jessica for 4 (nearly 5!) years.. Love all things Apple and is happy to convert any passerby to Mac. Don't have time for much else other than work and photography but then maybe if I didn't do long exposures all the time, there'd be more time for other stuff too!

Hi I'm Jenny....must be about the oldest of the admin. Married nearly 44 years to a tremendous person called Vic...Who spends his days looking after me. I was one of the founder members of this group and have enjoyed every minute of it, especially the friendships and company of a fine body of people. I retired from a job in Social services about ten years ago with ill health....still trying to put me right Hahah..I was introduced to flickr over three years ago and it's part of my life... my husband helps me to get about to take my photos and while I'm using that camera the world is a better place..love it.

Hi I'm The Captain, or Ben to my parents. Born in London along time ago. But been living in Penarth on and off since 1968. I consider myself an adopted Welshman. Had a long and varied career, but for the last 10yrs I've been doing my dream job of driving the Waterbus in Cardiff Bay. There is nothing better than having the sun shining, whilst driving a boat full of young ladies in tight tops around the bay! I've always been a bit of a 'point and shoot' sort of photographer, but recently I've started to try and get a bit more serious about my pictures. Currently pointing a Canon 50D at you.

Hi there. I'm Ken and come from North Pembrokeshire. I was born and raised here and spent 20 years toing and froing to Ireland working on the Cross Channel Ferries, before being forcibly retired in the early nineties. Got into Photography in the early seventies when after a disasterous set of wedding photographs I mistakenly said to my new wife, "I could do better than that" she said "go on then". I did, and never looked back. Had a break for a few years due to family and other issues but with the advent of digital dived back in with a vengeance. Love landscape work but will try anything, and although not artistic IMHO will push myself into those regions at times. Current kit is the Canon 30D with various lenses. Favourite is the Sigma 10-20mm which most often is bolted onto the front of the camera.

Hello everybody. My name is Tim. I have been involved with the group for about 14 months, attending the Northern meets when possible. I also attended the meet at Llantony last summer where I met some of our southern club mates.

I originate from Cheshire, yes I am English, I have a Welsh wife, we live in the Mold area.

My interest in photography really took hold about 4 years ago when I bought a Canon IXUS 40, I have subsequently made it to a D90 and own other lenses.

Apart from photography I have a great interest in wine and managed to achieve the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Intermediate Exam a few years ago. My wife and I like to travel, mainly France where our holidays seem to be within the wine producing areas.

I am a member of the Welshot Imaging Academy from Bangor where training days for us amateurs can be had with some notable experienced pro photographers
