Weekly Trashed

The Weekly Trashed Pool is a collaborative extension of a recurring column by GoGreenCharleston.org contributor Chad Norman.

Weekly Trashed began as a way to document how residents throw away copious amounts of recycling each week. As the column became more popular, it became clear that wider participation might make sense. This pool was created so that readers can share photos in an effort to educate and promote change at a local level.

The main goal of the Weekly Trashed effort (other than education) is to convince Charleston County Waste Management to begin curbside pickup of corrugated cardboard. People are already setting it out (see the photos) so we might as well collect it instead of sending it to the landfill.
