If you love taking pictures of kids and babies and want a little artistic challenge, this is the group for you! What could be better than to showcase your little ones with a weekly theme assignment?

THE CONCEPT Each Monday a new "theme" will be posted and run until the following Monday. It will be a general topic and can be interpreted in many ways. For the next seven days, members take one or more photographs which somehow address or fit the theme for the week. Be as imaginative or straightforward as you wish. You may submit up to three photos to the theme’s pool each week.

There are no restrictions to the type of photos submitted; B&W, cell phones, scanned, digitally altered, or collages are welcome. It just needs to reflect the weekly theme in some way and be related to kids or babies. You do not have to participate each week to be a member; join in when you can.

You may contribute up to three (3) photos per theme. You may delete and replace your submissions as the week goes on if you have taken a better representation of that theme. No more than three photos per theme in the pool from any member at one time. Contests close at 10 pm PST each Monday; no photos may be added after that time.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK At the end of each theme a photo of the week will be chosen and announced by the previous week's winner. The winner chooses the next photo of the week.

* If you are judging you may contribute photos to the pool but they are not eligible to win.

THEME TAG Each week we'll list a unique tag for that theme. Please add the tag to all of your submissions. This will allow us to view all the weekly photos together in a slideshow. Untagged photos will be removed from the pool, so please remember to tag your photos!

ARCHIVAL PHOTOS Archival photos (any taken before the opening of that week's contest) are not eligible to win. However, if you'd like to share ONE archival photo that fits the theme, please post a small version of the photo in that week's contest thread NOT in the pool. These photos don't need to be tagged. The weekly judge will also pick one archival winner from the photos posted in the contest thread.

How to Add an Image to the Pool
Go to your photo's page. Above the photo, click on "Send to Group" and the photo will be submitted to the pool. You'll notice it won't show up in the pool right away - this is because all photos are moderated (to make sure they fit the theme and dates of the competition) before being allowed in the pool, to prevent pool dumping.

How to Add an Archival Image to a Thread
Go to your photo's page. Above the photo, click on "All Sizes", and click "Small". Scroll down and copy all the HTML code in box 1. Then go to the archival image thread and paste that code into the "new post" box.
