As for a video of the event, there is a way to capture this event within the 90 seconds limitation: Stop motion.
At one frame for every donut handed out, the first 2160 donuts could be covered (at 24 frames × 90 seconds).
Unfortunately, somebody else than me will have to do it, I'll have to eat my donut on my side of the Atlantic.

um, i want a donut too, but i'd have to drive 5 hrs. to get there...cuZ i'm way up north. ;) ok, when i found out that people who didn't want video on flickr are going to flickr sites with videos and leaving nasty comments, i changed my mind and am leaving that crapola alone.
i got mad, it's not right in any kind of protest to do that. here is a good example of why i changed my mind, and am blabbing about the wrongness of what some idiots are doing...

I'm currently stationed in Bahrain and I think there are a grand total of two donut shops in the whole country. One of them happens to be down the street from my apartment. I'll be at the House of Donuts on the corner of Shaikh Duaij and Exhibition ave at 6:00 for anyone else in the region who feels entitled to their's.

I cannot organise an event, but I will eat a doughnut in Vancouver in solidarity with the victory won here by my sugary-sweet comrades.
It's going to be a sour cream glaze doughnut, from Tim Horton's.
I should add that although the test isn't back yet, it looks likely I've got celiac disease, so you lot had better be thankful for the sacrifice I'm about to make in the name of fried pastry deliciousness. It will be worth every bite. I may even have two, or six.

my question is...is flickr going to have new video groups that mirror the freakshow stuff you have in the photo groups? For example: "things shoved up my you know what videos" and "creepy stalking videos of someone elses kids at the beach" etc etc?
guess you guys were either too busy working on the videos launch, or are just fine with those things.

If you fancy a trip to SF, be wary of the pigeons as they do attack. I had my head nearly taken off by one literally, so much in fact that I actually had to duck to let it fly by, while visiting Fishermans Wharf (sp?). This was just 3 days ago.
