WDCS, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, is the world's most active charity dedicated to the conservation and welfare of cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) and their ocean environment. We aim to reduce and ultimately eliminate the continuing threats to whales, dolphins and their habitats and to raise awareness of these wonderful animals and the need to protect them in their natural environment.
We have offices in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Germany, the UK and the US and a worldwide network of consultants, researchers and supporters. Last year, we funded 43 conservation and research projects in 27 countries around the world. We achieve our aims through political campaigning and lobbying, active conservation projects and world-class science, research and education initiatives.
