About Aldridge, Bloxwich, Brownhills, Darlaston & Willenhall in Bloom

This is a Flickr group to celebrate the splash of horticultural colour across Willenhall, Darlaston and Aldridge.

It's been created by Walsall Council to capture the handiwork of gardeners from those towns.

Why? Those three areas have been entered into the Britain in Bloom competition for 2010 - the largest horticultural competition in Europe. We'd like the community to celebrate the three towns too.

Pictures can focus on anything from scenic shots in the town centre, to parks and open spaces or your own street.

We'd love it if you can state the location clearly as a tag.

COMPETITION

Winning entries for each of the three districts will receive a £20 voucher for a photographic shop and the most popular images will be displayed locally.

Judges are made up of members iof the Town Centre Partnerships for the three towns. These are forums for business, community and council to come together.

We'd love to be able to use some of the shots for marketing and publicity to help celebrate the three towns. To agree for this add the tag 'permission.'

Deadline for entries is Friday 18 June.
