About WATER fund Help us provide assistance for this mother’s work cooperative in Pobe, Benin. You can directly help our friends through the CAO partnership. Palm oil extraction is tedious backbreaking work for the women in the CAO palm oil cooperative. Extraction equipment built by our partners, the Songhai Center and can help the coop produce more palm oil and of a much higher quality, that brings more money in the marketplace. The women’s coop uses the income for school fees for their children and for health care. Our goal is to raise money to purchase this equipment from Songhai. We would help transport or install the machinery during or trip in the summer of 2010. We’d also provide workshops on healthcare and water quality for the village during our visit.
