About War of Aesthetics

Since I believe that most of the world's problems stem from the above, please give me an example of what your personal aesthetic is...
For example, nothing gets me more excited than cookbooks from the early 70s, Wong Kar Wai movies, science textbooks from the 50s, photos of Hugh Cornwell and folk art.....etc.
What about you folks???
