19 Aug 08 - A Very warm welcome to the Walton, Liverpool page. I'm the Admin for the group Andrew, and set the group up in response to what I see as a lack of internet presence in both present and past materials of Walton on the web. Please feel free to join, add and discuss anything Walton or Liverpool related and I look forward to seeing this group grow.
I'd also like to thank Philip G Mayer who for a brief period was Co-Admin of this group for all the help offered and given.

About Walton, LiverpoolThe Walton, Liverpool Group was set up by myself (Andrew) in response to a lack on Internet presence by the "Walton-on-the-Hill History Group" who run meetings within the area. As a Waltonian myself, I had seen such a wealth of Photographs on Flickr taken within Walton. Whether it was historical stuff, 1960's, Social class struggle sets from the 1980's, Railway tunnels or just great shots from the present day, I thought Walton needed it's own group to call its own. I intend to bring together the best of Walton past and present to Flickr within this group. So if your from Walton, an Ex-Waltonian or just a photographer with a keen interest or Photographs of the are, we'd like to have you as a member and have you add your collection of Walton Photographs. |
