Help me build my project!

Visually, this group is accepting photos of all sorts of walls, fences or barriers throughout the world. These photos will then be displayed in the project's public exhibition in Melbourne, Australia.

The Idea

The project’s title ‘The Wall Within’ is a play on words from the phrase: ‘The War Within’ – which reflect the walls or barriers we have within all of us, and the ongoing struggle to overcome our fears and inner conflicts.

The idea behind this project is to explore various walls in time and space – those which stand as negative landmarks in history, but also the everyday walls which are all around us.

The main theme of these photos is to explore the idea surrounding the cracks/fractures in the walls - representing the pathway between the inner conflict and the outer, as well as vice versa.

Your Input Is Crucial:

This project is based predominantly on the visual response of the group's members towards the 'The Wall'. Visually, this group is accepting photos of fractures or cracks in walls throughout the world. These photos will then be displayed in the project's public exhibition.

So I need YOUR help in building this project by submitting as many photos as you can of walls which contain flaws or fractures.


What You Need to Know:

With your permission, a selection of these images will be displayed in the exhibition Crooked Rib at Gallery 15W on William Street, Melbourne from 2nd to 23rd of October, 2008. Please inform me if you would not like your photos displayed publicly.
