from my friend brian, back when we were in 7th (i think) grade. i remember going to wafer at first for the pixhell cartoons, which i now miss greatly.

man, i don't really remember! i think it was through splorp or zeldman? anyways, i hit your site and you were very friendly to talk to on the site, then i tried the chatbox and you were even more friendly there! miss the chats.
hope things are well!

It's disturbing on some level that people have been reading the site for so long.
Though I guess it might explain why people are so attached to it ;)

honestly I really have no idea which link I followed to your site - all I know is that it was probably about 4-5 years ago when I was starting to get to grips with design and webstandards...
it's not unlikely that I ended up at waferbaby via zeldman, though...

Hmm ... I'm not quite sure. I think it was through a friend's site or friends' sites. It was so long ago that I can't remember. :) I'm pretty sure it was through the now defunct spasticreb.com.

I'm certain I was aware of waferbaby before then but I can't recall where or when. I think everyone has a bit of waferbaby in them somewhere. I remember showing James (nitr0z) on the school computers and saying "cool as fuck" a lot.

I found it because I used to be on the diesel sweeties forum when it first switched to dumbrella, back in 2000. Dandan would make occasional guest appearances in DS and I asked why he was blue.
That was how I found out about pixhell, and waferbaby. I've been hooked ever since.

it's been a while. i think i was just surfing around, clicking links and links -- and i remember liking the name waferbaby. i became attached to it from those emails we kept on replying to, d, remember that? probably not. there was a freakish amount of email from a daniel bogan in my old g3, and the last email ended with "you should get aim."
from then on i was officially hooked to the internet, thanks to d.

Through Penny Arcade; this was back when waferbaby was blue, had a thick black outline and had tiny square icons down the right-hand side that linked to Mr. Bogan's friends.

i found it when swifty was on it but then as i was looking at his page he took it down or i got a 404 that led me to your aim name back when that was on your site. and it's been magic ever since...only now i don't get to talk to you.

I found it through year one of Penny Arcade too, back in the white design of yore, and then i wrote a howto, and you offered me an email address, then webspace. The rest is history.

Hmmm, it was definitely early 2001 (I have email from you from back then) and I'm fairly certain it was via Zeldman. I instantly liked your site, but when I found out you were a fellow vegan I was hooked.

Best I guess is around 1999... but I don't really remember the details. The cache that wayback machine has for you in 1999 is definitely the design your site had when I discovered it. It think I found it through Zeldy or K10K. I know it was on waferbaby.com and not any of your older domains.
