About VW Databus
A guide to diecast Volkswagen transporters (buses) of all makes, models and scales.
The goal is a comprehensive, searchable, and detailed resource, so there are some rules:
One photo per model, unless there's some additional feature that a 2nd photo would show. For example, one photo of a loose bus, and a 2nd photo of the same bus with packaging. Check that your model's not already posted before adding it to the group.
Every photo submitted must have a title, description, and at least the following tags:
vwdb — to signify this group
Toy Manufacturer — for example matchbox or hotwheels
ID Number — including modifiers, for example: 34Av1
Scale — for example 1:64
Type — specific era and model in Volkswagen's range that the model most closely represents: splitscreen barndoor panelvan
Color(s)
Packaging (if any) specify if the photo includes the box or card
The timeline above has tag-searching links to models of each type of bus. A separate timeline for 1980-present (vanagons, eurovans, and the concept microbus) is in progress.
An index/timeline by toy manufacturer may also be added. For now, here are tags for the manufacturers currently represented:
corgi, hotwheels, husky, impy, johnnylightning, matchbox, siku, tomica.
