About VOULA -NEB
In the early 50's the NEB (NAFTIKH ENOSI VOULAS) or Nautical Union of Voula was created. A small boating marina was set-up with a purpose to accommodate the small craft of the new suburb of Athens, Greece, at a location called 'KOKKINOS VRACHOS" or "Red Rock". In addition, NEB provisioned for athletic activities for the youngsters such as swimming, volley ball, sailing, water skiing and so on.
During the late 50's, 60's and early 70's NEB thrived with a largish group of youngsters and parents during the summer months. Every day we flocked in the "LIMANAKI" as it was known spending endless care-free times, making friendships that have lasted through the decades.
In this VOULA-NEB Group we aim to share old and new pictures coming from all VOULA members, along with story-telling, reminiscences and anything else that members may wish to tell or share.
We can paraphrase the acronym NEB to “NEANIKI ENOSI VOULAS” to serve our today’s reminiscing purposes :-)
