About voteTO - Toronto Election 2010

A group pool for everyone to share their VoteTO - Toronto 2010 Election images, photos, campaign literature, posters, candidates profiles pictures, screen captures, buttons, short videos and discussions to boot.

When you can, it is recommended all submissions be licensed creative commons attribution ( cc by ) with hyper-links back to the photo / video flickr url.

A cc-by license will allow the widest reach for items posted here.

Consequently allowing for-profit print and broadcast media to source material found here without losing one's authorship and by-line credit, in addition to smaller non-profit blogs, community newspapers, and other neighbourhood media being able to easily access election stuff.

If CC-BY ain't for you, please add your own copyright info and how you wish to be contacted in the photo's caption area. Our preferred license should not be something to stop you from joining and participating.

That's fair enough, eh?

Hopefully, both traditional mainstream media as well as newer online media outlets will draw upon this group pool.

To be effective and worthwhile, this group must become a visual buffet of source material to accompany election related stories as well as hopefully, discovering new candidates and their campaigns.

This is a non-partisan flickr group pool rated G for everyone.

Heated discussions will arise from time, we can all cool down when that happens and remain civil.

When Torontonians expect the best from each other, we each do in fact bring out the best in each other.

Lastly,

If there is a bias to this group pool, it is simply this: to increase voter turn out in Toronto's Municipal election in 2010.
