Every day, millions of us volunteer in our communities. We adopt abandoned animals. We check in on elderly neighbors. We spend a few hours laying down carpet for a homeless shelter. We read to kids down at the school.

Moments like these are the stuff of inspiration, which is why we believe if you’ve ever captured such a moment in a photo, you need to share it with the world.

This spring, VolunteerMatch and our friends at Squidoo are inviting nonprofits and volunteers to share their favorite photos showing the impact of giving back. It's your chance to inspire the world with images of everyday kindness, no matter how ordinary, and the spirit of community.

Photographers for the two best photos – as voted upon by the community – win $1,000 to donate to their favorite nonprofit.
