Honoring Babies outgrew the first 2008 discussion, spring babies. Here is the mosaic of those photos:

Voices Honoring Babies 2008 - Part 2

Now it is time for the summer babies showing how they have grown or those born later in the year.

You do not need to wait to be invited to add your photos of wild babies (I know human babies are often wild but non-human babies belong here)

If you find a photo you'd like to invite, you can use this sticker:

There was a mix up with the invite code (not worth explaining)... but these little ones got stranded back in Honoring Babies part II.. bringing them to their rightful place!

Timid Calf
This moose calf is less than a month old and was not sure of itself yet. It' mom was just off picture to the right and was keeping a very close eye on the photographer. (Thank God for long lenses) Later in the day, I watched a lady walk within 30 ft of the cow moose with a point and shoot camera. No wonder the gene pool is shallow in some areas....
After a few quick shots, I went on my way as to not affect the relationship between cow and calf. This was taken in the front portion of Denali National Park near Riley Creek Campground. Moose know that preditors will stay away from human activity, so each year many cow moose will give birth to their calves in the front portion of the park.

Young Elk

Black Bear Cub from Anan Creek Alaska. He's a little concern about all the attention I'm paying and all that clicking noise I'm making with my camera isn't helping much.

wolf pups in Denali National Park, these are probably 4 months old when this is taken, they act a great deal like puppies.
