About Volunteers for Outdoor California

Volunteers for Outdoor California (V-O-Cal) was founded in 2006 to motivate and enable people to be active stewards of California's public and protected lands.

V-O-Cal conducts and manages large-scale volunteer projects on public lands, providing assistance to public land managers for a broad range of large-scale trail maintenance and construction, habitat restoration, and related land stewardship activities.

V-O-Cal is a fiscally sponsored project of Acterra. V-O-Cal conducts weekend projects all over Northern California, offering volunteers a broad range of project opportunities.
