About Visual Haiku
Visual Haiku refers to a photograph whose subject is typically intimate landscape like, in character equal to the japanese Haiku.
A visual haiku typically tries to capture the very essence of a subject.
To stray true to the character of the original Haiku each photograph must also contain a seasonal reference.
Visual haiku's, like literal haiku's, may be metaphoric, but even then the photograph must be self contained; the title is descriptive of the image, not of the metaphore.
