About The Visible Photographer (*NOT POSED* Street Photos)

In order to qualify as a Visible Photographer shot, a picture has to have the following properties:
It has to be shot in public. Photos from private occasions don't count. "In public" is a sloppy term; by it, I mean something like "anywhere there's people and where you can go without having to ask permission." Having to buy a ticket doesn't constitute having to ask permission. Therefore, a store, the opera, and a museum would be fine, but a private home, an office, a car, a boat, or a factory wouldn't. Neither would wilderness, since there aren't people there.
It has to contain an interaction between the subject and the photographer. For example, a candid character study or classic "invisible photographer" street shot doesn't qualify. Neither does a photo without any living subject; interactions with objects are definitely out, although I suppose you could interact with a cat, dog, or bird...
The interaction must be spontaneous and with a stranger. Something that just happened. Interactions with friends or family don't count. Interactions that are set up for the explicit purpose of being photographed don't count.
Photos that don't have these features will be deleted from the group pool without warning, and at the moderators' discretion. A mod thinking that a photo isn't much good is only one out of many possible reasons for deleting it, so don't be discouraged.
If you're interested in pursuing this line of photography, please join and submit your photos. BUT DO NOT KEEP RESUBMITTING THE SAME PHOTOS THAT ARE DELETED!!!
PLEASE LOOK THROUGH THE EARLIER POOL PAGES & READ THE DISCUSSIONS BEFORE POSTING!
Hard core street photography follows from the tradition of the invisible photographer -- someone who discreetly observes and documents life in public. It's damn hard, and sometimes you get spotted.
However, that doesn't mean the end of street photography: it merely changes its character. The Visible Photographer is dedicated to the kind of in-public shots that happen after the veil of invisibility has fallen, and the subject is aware of and interacting with the photographer.
