That's really cool. I used to have album 2 on white vinyl, but it was really scratched up. Lost it when I moved. White vinyl is quite the rare find. I've been keeping a list of all my colored records and plan some sort of art project with them. Any ideas? Stay posted.

I've got the White Album on white vinyl. A glance at ebay seems to indicate that it's not that rare or valuable; too bad!
How 'bout the Split Enz holographically etched vinyl? Used to have a copy... wonder where it went.

I use to have the "White Album" on white vinyl, "Magical Mystery Tour" on yellow vinyl and "Abby Road" on green vinyl at one time. These were late 70's issues. All were sold when I cleaned out some Beatle items 15 or so years ago.

To Skilletlickers:
Your colored vinyl art project is a cool idea. I worked for a radio station in college and colled a bunch of cool colored vinyl (see above) where the look is better than the music therein. As such. my roommates and I undertook the building of a colored vinly lampshade. I'm not saying we were drunk, it it went badly. I think if you could pull that off it would make a cool art project that is functional too.

There used to be a place in Chicago on North Street called Second Hand Tunes that sold lampshades made of records. I think they took extra small light bulbs to keep the heat from melting the vinyl. It looks like the artist had put them in an oven. There were bowls and other vinyl goodies there too, but now the store is no more. I think I remember the guy saying he bought them from an artist somewhere in California.

I had a few picture discs and coloured vinyl records whe ni was a lot younger - I had the Tubeway Army/Gary Numan Picture disc of 'Down In The Park' which isold for some ludicrously low price when i need a bit of spending money.
I had Squeeze's 'Up The Junction' and 'Coll for Cats", each on pink vinyl. The only coloured vinyl I still have is a Rush record, sadly.

this is my first time posting here and so far ive seen some awseome looking records.ive got some sid vicious on white vinyl,the dickies nights in white satin also on white and a whole bunch of other punk stuff on white.coloured,etched vinyl etc which i will post photos of if you like.do i just send them to the group or how can i post them so they will appear under my reply

I suppose I've been amiss to say hello. I just joined the group awhile back and started posting away (a fair amount of colored vinyl). I've always wanted to be a part of a group like this, fellow vinyl junkies. I hope I haven't been rude and I do hope you enjoy my posts. I certainly enjoy all of yours.

If I ever get my vinyl out of storage, (I just moved and have no place to set up my decks & crates) I'll have to do some digging..may take me a bit I've got 700+ to go thru but, I've got a few records in a variety of colors ranging from blue, red, pink, green, yellow...a soul compilation from the 70's on rainbow vinyl...along with a few cut in odd shapes ( sawblade, hexagon, etc) Oh, and a couple picture discs too...Michael Jackson's- 'Thriller' ep...some old techno record with a mushroom print on one side and a battle mech on the flip side...
