A place to post images of the vintage clothing or home dec patterns that you own.
I collect vintage sewing patterns and I do so mainly for the envelope art. It kills me to know that these lovely illustrations are sitting, unseen, in my sewing bins!
We'd all love to see the vintage patterns and sewing images you've been collecting ... and hey, if you've actually sewn from the pattern, won't you post an image of the finished product?
I hope this will serve as a resource not only for period fashion reference and art, but as a sort of catalog for crafters and sewers who will be able to turn around and search for specific patterns in the second-hand marketplace.
Please post as much and as often as you like, and don't limit yourself to any time period (but should be pre-1990)!
Please don't feel you must limit yourself to pattern envelope art, either. Please share all vintage sewing images you have ... any vintage sewing how-to articles or books are fair game, as is art from vintage sewing notion packaging or ads. I believe these kinds of images give inspiration for those actually sewing from vintage patterns.
