About Vintage Canada
This group is devoted to images (photos, scans, artwork, etc) of Canada - that grand and stunningly beautiful, earnest and timeless nation - that hail from the years before 1965.
The focus of this group is specially on images from the mid-twentieth century, but again anything dating from (roughly) pre-1965 is fantastic.
Whether it's a photo of your great-grandfather trekking up the Chilkot Pass during the great Klondike gold rush, your grandma planting her Victory Garden in lush B.C. soil during WW2, or yourself as a hockey playing youngster in the 1950s, we want to see your old school Canadian images.
Canada is a richly diverse, culturally fascinating, immensely lovely country and this group is the Flickr spot in which to share some of the images of those people, places and things that help make us the wonderful canucks that we are.
We kindly ask that you put your best Canadian manners forth when participating in this group. Abide by the golden rule, keep all images and videos family friend (no nudity or adult content, please), and that you always bring any problems to the attention of a moderator.
