About Dated Vintage Photographs (pre 1945)
A group for all images in Flickr that have a known date, and where that date is set as the 'date taken', and of course that date being 1945 or earlier.
We already have a Geotagged Vintage images group to look for old images on a map, but how about a timeline of early photographs?
Only three rules (beyond normal rules of copyright, decency etc):
- All images must have a known date at least to an exact year (it doesn't have to be precise, so long as it's a confirmed date, not something that has been estimated or guessed).
- All images must have that date set in the image information as the 'date taken'.
- All images must be original photographs and must have been taken in 1945 or earlier.
Here's a useful tool to find all your images that qualify - just put in your Flickr userid and it will find all your images that have a date set to 1945 or earlier.
