About Victor Karl Hammer / Artist & Printer

This group is dedicated to the life and work of Victor Karl Hammer (1882-1967), painter, architect, sculptor, engraver, type designer, typographer, and printer. From his earliest experiences as a child in Vienna, Austria, to his final years in Lexington, Kentucky, the great creative spirit of Victor Hammer, as artist and teacher, touched many lives and continues to influence those perceptive enough to draw inspiration from his great works. Please share photographs of the man, and his many works of art and literature. Identification of images are appreciated, especially where works are in public collections.
