About The Changing Face of Greater Victoria, BC

Victoria, Britsh Columbia has experienced the cycle of boom and bust. From the hedy goldrush boom of 1858 to the building boom experienced from 1911 - 1914 to the current great building boom (2005 until ?)
This group traces the current building boom in photographs, illustrations and comments. Photo's of what was, photo's of the transition and photo's of the end result are all welcome here.
Basically this group is about the urban landscape and the constant changes that are taking place during the first economic boom of the 21st Century.
Historic landmarks long fixtures of Victoria and less significant structures are continually being renovated or replaced. From the demise of the Cherry Bank Hotel to the rise of the Bay Towers that will forever change our urban landscape - this group will record the metamorphisis.
