About Very, VERY LARGE Photos (NEW: 20 megapixels or more)
Big photos. Gigantic photos. Monstrous photos. Gargantuan photos. This group is for extremely large images: minimum 20 MegaPIXELS!
What?!? Your camera only takes up to 5 Megapixels (or 3, or 6)?
Or you only shoot film?
NO PROBLEM !! Here are some ways to get Very, VERY LARGE Photos:
- Scan a good quality print (at least 5x7) at 600 DPI or higher.
- Take multiple images while standing in one place (on a tripod is best), rotating a little for each shot. Then, on the computer, "stitch" the images together to make a big one.
- Find a large one you like on the internet from places like NASA, and post that one. Just make sure you give proper credit.
RULES:
1. Photo must be posted with Original size of at least 20 Megapixels. (If you aren't sure, multiply the pixel width by height).
2. Photo settings must allow group members to view full size. (copyrights, privacy, whatever).
3. Any postings that don't have at least 20 Megapixel original size will be deleted.
4. Must be photo, not created digitally (may be edited digitally). No graphic arts in this group, please.
5. May include someone else's photo, but you must follow any copyrights, permissions; and ALWAYS give credit to original photographer. You may include public domain photos (such as images from NASA), but you must follow their copy rules.
6. No more than 5 postings per day.
NOTE: It requires a "PRO" account to upload large enough photos for this group.
