About Ushahidi

The Ushahidi engine (found at www.ushahidi.com), was originally created to map the reports of violence happening in Kenya. The reports were received by SMS, email and the web by everyday Kenyans.

Ushahidi is now creating a new open source version of that engine for others to use in crowdsourcing crisis information around the world. We're just getting started, and would love for you to help us if you can.
