About U.S. Route 99

U.S. Route 99 was a major north-south route that ran from Calexico, California, on the Mexican border to Blaine, Washington, on the Canadian border. It was originally 1,569 miles long.
Long stretches of the now-decommissioned U.S. Route 99 are currently known as California State Route 99, Oregon State Route 99, and Washington State Route 99. At the Canadian border, the old U.S Route 99 connects to British Columbia Highway 99.
