About Urgent Care CentersThere are over 8,000 urgent care centers in the United States offering walk-in, no-appointment necessary care for minor illness and injury that requires immediate medical attention but are not medical emergencies. Urgent care typically has shorter wait times and lower costs than hospital ERs and are a key to reducing overall health care costs and improving quality of care. Many urgent care centers are affiliated with the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). Urgent care operators, practitioners, and patients are encouraged to post their urgent care pictures and reviews here. |
