About Urbex (curated)
High quality urbex photos. Please submit only your best work.
Aggressively curated. Open for submissions.
If your photo has obvious tonemapping, it will be rejected. Please don't waste my and your time. Same for photos with people and other crazy processing.
"Urbex" in this case has a broad definition, but does not include general urban scenes, individual abandoned objects, etc. Focus on the exploration part of urbex. Please take a moment's look through the pool to get a feel for the tone before submitting.
What is the purpose of this group?
There are plenty of groups out there that accept any and all photos. This one is more selective, showcasing the best work. Yes, that's subjective, and no claims are made to fairness or perfection. This pool is for images in the straight aesthetic, meaning minimum manipulation both pre- and post-production. Photos of you, your friends, models, etc., will not be approved. While urbex is by its nature documentary, photos here should be more than just documents, but also well executed on other levels. Give us some depth.
Discussion is welcome, but should be more why than how. No "comment on the person above you" threads; the purpose of this group is not just to get more hits on your photos. There are plenty of other dumping grounds for that. This also means that being in dozens of other groups already might be a strike against a photo.
Less tricks, more treats.
Submit, share, suggest. Thank you.
