About The Urban Wasteland
This group is about photography of beauty in urban or industrial blight.
Anything posted here should be shot in a city or be an image of man-made artifacts or installations encroaching on the land. A sense of irony is welcome, political statements are not. It's about the pictures first and foremost.
Please geo-tag you pictures if at all possible. If you took the picture w/o a GPS receiver, use the build in tool or the great geo-tag function in Picasa 3 in conjunction with Google Earth
Also: No geoformations, no matter how beautiful or bizarre, no portraits of humans and other critters.
There is a lot of really outstanding photography on flickr, some stuff that is craptastic in an amusing way and the vast majority that is just awful. My vision for this group is accomplished photography that is within these simple guidelines. I (Totally Alien) will moderate and edit accordingly.
