1 roll of film will be exposed by two different individuals from different countries, preferably who live in urban areas.

Project:

Capturing similarities and contrasts in the lives of people living in urban zones from across the globe.

Method:

Double exposure of 36exp 200 iso color film (you will set your ISO to 400 for deliberate underexposure as this will minimize negative effects of the double exposure). I will send a new roll to an individual, they will expose and then send to me....I will then send said roll to another individual from a different country for double exposure. They will send role back to me for development. Results will be posted here with credits given accordingly. If any interest is shown outside of flickr, all parties (photographers and myself) to said image will be made aware and rights will be shared equally. No one individual can distribute image without other parties consent.

Subject:

Daily life ( this can be yourself, the people around you, etc..(further detail in paragraph below).

What I'm not looking for:

Landscape photography, vacation photos, architecture photography, a roll of self-portraits, etc....it has to be about life.

Further Detail:

The time frame is "reasonable." I simply ask that you take photos and send the roll back in a reasonable amount of time. A reasonable amount of time is a couple weeks, anything more than a month would be excessive, I think. The subject really is up for interpretation. I guess in my mind, I'm thinking exposures of people, activities, places that are the core identity of yourself and your city. It can include your daily routine if you want, your family, your work, street photography, etc, etc it's up to you. The frames will be random. So don't worry about lining up a subject in each frame....I'm interested in the contrast and similarities of ideas, subjects, interpretations, etc from people in different places. I think there could be some really interesting results. If you're still interested, send me your mailing address (I will send you mine) and I will drop a roll of film in the international mail. When you get it, send me an email letting me know it's arrived and start shooting!

Last note: The only expense you will be responsible for is post to Chicago, IL (I will cover post to your country/city). In most cases, I believe this will be under $5 USD if sent first class.
