About Urban Still Life

"Urban: in relating to, or characteristic of a city or town"

"Still life: a picture which represents a subject composed of 3-dimensional inanimate objects. Ideally these objects should be accidentaly arranged."

Put these two together and we have this group.

Everyday we come upon still lifes in our comings and goings that aren't noticed. This group is dedicated to those still life moments, which are found in an urban setting

Examples of Urban Still Life photos:


Please do not add pictures of walls or streets without any still life objects. Lanterns, traffic lights, windows, doors, fences etc. are not considered as still life objects. Generally speaking pictures with people aren't considered still lifes, but if the people are in the background and aren't the main focus of the photo I can make exceptions for them. If your pictures do not fit the group theme, we(I) will remove these pictures from the pool. There are already many other interesting groups specialized for these topics. As with all other rules in life there will be exceptions made to these rules, if I deem it necessary.

When submitting photos to the group pool please tag your photos with "Urban Still Life" and also with the location of where it was taken.
