About Unique Perspectives

Tired of the same old shot of the same old landmarks? The same pose in portrait after portrait? Craving something different? Then you have found the right place! This group is for photos that show us ordinary (and sometimes extraordinary) places, people, and things in a new perspective.

As Robin Williams said in Dead Poet's Society... "I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way."

Now, I am guilty of taking standard view photographs, too. However, photography can and should challenge us, expand our view of the world, and help us to see things in a different light.

A word on Photoshopped images:

While Photoshop can create some neat effects that are certainly different than what you would see in real life, this group is more for reality based photographs that will give us a different view of the same object, person, or place that you would ordinarily see in a standard guidebook or Olan Mills photograph. No offense to guidebooks or Olan Mills, of course. Heavily Photoshopped images usually won't fit in, there are other groups for that genre.

Rules:

1. Members may post up to 5 photos per day.

2. For every photo you post, you must comment on 3.

3. No nudity allowed.
