About Unnecessary Underlines
The use of underlined type is an epidemic that needs to be stopped. In word processors, it's as superfluous as double spacing. (I'm talking to YOU, Microsoft Word.) It's only there because it was the only way to emphasize type on a typewriter... and it carried over into the computer world. So, let's see your photos of underline abuse. It can be handwritten signage or made on a computer. (There's something called Bold, people!) Don't even get me started about the double-underline.. or the triple-underline!! Or excessive exclamation marking!!!!
