2009, on a CAR-FREE Sunday...
A meeting with a reality of the street life and its wandering souls, those "invisible" ones, those ones we can't see with our hearts neither with our eyes, those WE JUST DO PRETEND NOT TO SEE.

Names without an echo, lives strongly denied.
A past that ran over, and left them lost and isolated in so many ways.
Some of them have physical or mental differences that fill us up with our own fears, and frightening us from our own shadows.

They are on another path they've not always chosen.

Anonymous without a shelter, without a home, without a roof, tramp, beggar, refugee, ID-free, criminal type,...those are the names we use to call them.

A WORLD IN ITSELF that should not exist.

A little more than 5% of these "left aside" people decided to live that way !
Just think about it ...

Why this group ? Why this theme ? Why these pictures ?

Maybe because I did not see those persons, or did not perceive them anymore.
Maybe because once in my lifetime, I was on "the edge" with a personal bankruptcy.

The fact to see them through my camera forced me to focus and revealed them with such an emotional intensity, with an identity of their own, with a dignity and a powerful determination to "live through and that way" come what may, whatever the price is to pay...

I dedicate this Group to these people and I'll try to share and transmit an emotion through these pictures, THEIR pictures, and honor them with my deepest respect.

IT IS UP TO YOU, TO DARE, AND SEE THEM DIFFERENTLY.
