About UK Snow 2009

Originally created for photographs of the snow that fell on the UK over the first week of February 2009, this group celebrates the unique British way we deal with snow. Who would have thought the some of UK would have had some quite heavy snow in December of this year too.

The snow that fell during the first week in February was apparently the worst for 18 years but, in the words of London Mayor Boris Johnson, it was not a time for a "mass skive".

As I write this description, the December snow means plenty of us are tantalising dreaming of that white Christmas!
