About UFO Catcher Plush

This group is about the stuffed toys that can be won in Japanese arcade machines called a UFO Catcher. So named because the main hook or grabbing tool consists of a spherical shape similar to a space ship and two claws. There are other types of machines that dispenses these toys but this is the most prevalent design.

There are similar machines in the USA but the prizes the Japanese machines have are more desirable, collectible and often are exclusive products for the arcades only. A majority of the UFO plush are anime and game related.

These toys can only be purchased by winning directly from the arcade in Japan, auction sites like eBAY or Japanese import stores.

The main purpose of this group is to share hard to find images of plush both rare and not so rare.

Due to the large amounts of bootleg plush inundating auction sites and stores this group will also provide a way to visually verify by comparison if a plush is bootleg or the real deal.

RULES
Do not post pictures of bootleg plush unless it is a comparison shot against an original plush vs a bootleg.
