Congratulations to Nathan for having his work published in the New York Times. There were many, many great solutions, as you can see from the work published below.
--------
The assignment was to create an illustration for letters to the editor published in the New York Times. The letters were written in response to this editorial: "Coming to a Plate Near You", about genetically altered animals. Our art director, Kim Bost, provided the following guidance:
Size: 2.15" wide by 2.5" tall. Black and white. Hi-res or vector.
Focus on communicating the general idea of the editorial. The unknown/strange idea of using genetically altered animals...
The potential solution could be iconic, illustrated, or typographic. Some jumping off points for visuals (but certainly not limited to):
stamps/seals of certification
regulation/order/code
labeling/end product (food packaging, etc)
genetics/dna
altering
Your file name must include your full name, first + last.
