About The World Supports the Iranian People

What It Is: "The World Supports the Iranian People" is a group on Flickr consisting of people demonstrating their support for Iranian democracy by people taking photos of themselves wearing green, the color of Moussavi's supporters and at this point, the protesters in general. We are NOT trying to "impose western ideals" on to the people of Iran, that is not our goal. We are just trying to show the protesters that despite the failings of some mainstream media sources their voice IS being heard.

Our Goal: We want to collect thousands of photos from around the world so the people of Iran can have tangible proof that we support them. Support that they can see, that they can feel. Together, we can do this.

How can you participate:
1.) Wear green.
2.) Take a photo of yourself wearing green (work safe appropriate please!); you can include a message like "We support you!" if you like.
3.) Upload your photo to Flickr and request to join this group. As of now we have the group set to needing to request to join as to hopefully curb any attempts at defamation.

What this group is NOT: This is not the place to spread hate towards the people of Iran or anyone else for that matter. Any topics deemed inappropriate will be removed. Also, If you cannot contribute to the discussion without resorting to terms such as "libtard", "repubtard", etc. then please save yourself and everyone else some time and don't post.
