About tweed couch-along
this group is a sister group of the yarn museum.
it's for spinners, artists + yarn makers to post their in-process photos of a tweed yarn that looks like a 1940's tweed couch, as described by pluckyfluff : here
"so my thing for this winter is going to be tweeds....i don't know what's up with that but every time i'm in the thrift store and walk by one of those old granny couches circa 1948 with the tweed weave and the little linty flecks and the cigarette burns i just want to nuzzle it. the thrift store ladies get very uncomfortable if you start nuzzling the couches by the way... discretion is key. in fact, it is probably wise to just pet the couch, not actually rub your face on it. anyhow- i was saying.... old tweed- loving it. going to spin it. make a tweed granny couch hat. "
post pix of most anything, including:
tweed couch inspirations
the batt/fibers you started with
in process photos of batts being carded
the batts after carding
yarn being spun
extreme closeups of all those tweedy sections of finished yarn!
what gets made from the project
there's button
in case you feel like using it to tell people about the group.
