Esiste una metafisica dei tubi. Slawomir Mrozek ha scritto sui tubi flessibili parole che non si sa se siano di una perturbante profondità o magnificamente deliranti. Forse sono tutto questo insieme: i tubi sono straordinari miscugli di pieno e di vuoto, sono materia cava, una membrana di esistenza che ricopre un fascio di inesistenza.
Il tubo flessibile è la versione molle del tubo. Eppure, la mollezza di cui è dotato non lo rende meno enigmatico.
Dio possedeva la flessibilità di quest'ultimo e al tempo stesso giaceva rigido e inerte, confermando così la sua natura di tubo. Sperimentava la serenità assoluta del cilindro. Filtrava l'universo e non tratteneva niente.
