WHY WE'RE HERE:
This group is for truly new photographers, not for the slightly advanced who wish to put their photos on display. My hope is that this group will stay true to the idea of learning together. Please join this group if you're willing to share the things you learn along the way! Also, the reason I want this group to be truly new people, is that I'm hoping we can positively critique one another's work. It will be interesting to see each other's point of view when it's coming from someone whose on the same level.
This is a non-intimidating, intimate place to share our work. I do want us to remember that this is, "Truly New Photographers," and we really don't know a lot about the thing we love to do. So please, when you learn something new, share it!! We want to know.
Start a discussion thread, share the info, and where and how you learned it. As we all are already aware, it's important to test the validity of the things we read on the internet. So to those who read what is written, make sure the info is legit before you take it to heart!
Finally, don't feel insecure about critiquing someone else's work. You know what you like and don't like. That's what art is. I don't buy the idea that everything must fall within technical rules. I just want to make art that makes people experience emotion. That doesn't mean I don't want to know how to technically advance myself, I just don't want the technical aspect to hold us back.
