About Trois Pistoles et Les Basques
Trois-Pistoles is a nice small town along the South shore of the St lawrence River, Quebec, Canada.
The town is said to have been named for a silver goblet worth three pistoles, an old French coin, that was lost in the river in the 17th century.
Les Basques (the Basques) is a Regional County Municipality in eastern Quebec, Canada. It is located on the south bank of the Saint Lawrence River halfway between Rimouski and Rivière-du-Loup. The seat is in Trois-Pistoles and it is in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region. (source: Wikipedia).
