About Tributes to the Famous

Any picture depicting a physical tribute to famous people of modern pop culture (Roughly a 75 year span leaning more toward the present. Exceptions allowed for pics of tributes to world renown people of history from any age but make sure it's someone most everyone on most continents will know). This is not the group to put a picture of the celebrity or event in it unless he, she or it is depicted with the item honouring him, her or it. If you have doubts first see examples below or e-mail me (caribb). If your pictures disappear then I thought they were not keeping with the spirit of the theme but nothing against the pics themselves. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This could include awards, trophies, cups, art or even walks of fame for celebrities of all kinds (Movies, television, theatre, art, sports or literature.

Examples (but not exclusively these things);

Items with autographs on them
pictures of autographs themselves (from: actors, authors, athletes, royalty, world famous politicians, musicians, artists)
awards (eg: picture of an Academy Award but associate the Star with it)
Book with author's signature (signature showing)
Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (mainly one where the name can be read)
Action figures of well know people.
Trophies (eg: Picture of the Stanley Cup)
Posters of celebrities or sports stars
Movie, concert or Play posters
Figurines of famous people in wax museums
Foot and hand prints of famous individuals in cement
Sports Jerseys with signatures on them
Basketballs, footballs or baseballs with star athletes signatures
Baseball bats, cricket bats, hockey sticks with signatures on them
A statue or monument honouring a famous recent cultural icon in your country or an extremely well known historical world figure from the distant past eg: Henry VIII or Genghis Khan etc..
Pictures of Stamps with the likeness of a famous cultural icon (eg: the US Elvis stamp)

etc... you have the goods let's see what you have! It can be of any celebrity from any country. The more world renown of course the more it will appeal to most of us but even if not add it in so people in your own country will be able to appreciate it and we can all be more informed. If that's the case write something on the pic caption to tell us about the subject.

So a picture somehow honouring someone generally attributed with modern culture (going back as far perhaps as 75 years but not very old historical figures unless you have a photograph of say Shakespeare's autograph somehow... I'll make exceptions for such things but generally keep the theme current)
