East Timor is a the youngest nation in Asia. With a great potential for tourism, located at the south east tip of South East Asia, between Indonesia and Australia and in line to Papua New Guinea, I could say that's located to be the next hub in Asia. I wish the best for the people of East Timor, or Timor Leste, the only Portuguese spoken country in Asia, and one of the few Christian in this region of so many cultures.

As many other countries in Asia, East Timor or Timor Leste is more kaleidoscopic, not being Portuguese the main language, but Tetun, and not only one Tetun, but several flavours. And Christianism (in a lot of flavours as well) is mixed with animism and with a small but vibrant Muslim community.

This is a modest group to promote tourism in Timor Leste and around. This is a land of beautiful and harsh landscapes but with great opportunities to frame one of your best shots.

Diving and other outdoors activities like hiking and 4x4 travelling is available. It's for sure a place for the adventurous, but in a very safe, nice country with a very welcoming population.
