About travel stock photography
I created this group for semi pros and pros which want to share some of there good travel stock photography and maybe some tips and hints to new travel stock photographers.
Please only post your pictures here if it is "real travel stock photography".
By the way, travel stock photography is by far not as commercial as you may think. It is probably the worse paying stock photography you can shoot, BUT travel stock photography is not necessary only to make money, it is also about fun.
Most photographers I know (and that is quite a few) are all working extremely hard to stay alive - simply because there is not as much money paid for travel stock photography as for other parts of stock photography.
I hope this group will help to open some eyes, exchange experiences and to give some valuable travel information!
This is what I want to establish with this group:
I would like to get a very, very good collection of pictures together to show off. As you may know, Getty Images as one of the biggest player in stock photography is inviting photographers from Flickr to distribute their pictures.
I work with several stock agencies worldwide and got a pretty good idea what can be sold.
Agencies making very small selections and only the very best are accepted. I will moderate this group and make sure only the best stock travel pictures are shown here. If one of your pictures are denies - please don't be mad, submit other images.
If we want to be discovered (and I know how I can help with that) by agencies those tight selections are a must.
So please, keep submitting, don't be mad at me when not all of your images are accepted.
