About Travel Photojournalism
This is a group for anyone interested in travel and photojournalism. Please feel free to post good quality travel-related photographs in this group (but note: no snaps). Limit your posts to 1 per day. Try to provide the location the photo was taken.
Please note that we are aiming for quality over quantity in this group and our moderators actively curate the photo pool collection. As a result, certain images (unintended unsharps, vacation snaps, images unrelated to group topic, etc) may be rejected. Have a look through the group pool and featured content to see what we're looking for. See Wikipedia for definition of "photojournalism". Of the qualities listed there, the images posted in this group should at the very least (in addition to being related to travel) have a strong element of narrative. Please avoid posting landscape, architecture and nature photography here, unless it somehow otherwise fits within the group topic.
Feel free to start any travel or photojournalism related discussions. Feedback is encouraged. If you wish to let someone know where you saw the image, use the following link:

FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE MONTH OF JULY
TOM HOOPS
Born on the South coast of England, Tom has lived in Thailand now for 12 years and has a strong graphic design background. Photography has since become a natural progression, that has lead him to develop a unique style that pushes limits in terms of composition and processing.
An uncompromising street photographer with an eye for the human condition in all its guises, Toms work is unapologetic and raw. The majority of his shots are candid apart from a small series of friends and family, and almost all were taken in Bangkok.
With exhibitions expected later in the year, and several assignments in the planning stages, the future is likely to be an exciting and busy time. Tom is currently putting together a series of portraits of those involved with the politcal demonstration in Bangkok. For most of his images, he uses a Nikon D80 with nikor 50mm 1.8 and 18-200VR.
Tom has signed prints available through his website.
