Is it too late to withdraw? I told my parents and they had a fit about me giving out my address to strangers on the net, and how I won't have time to take photos since I need to concentrate on my studies...
I mean, I can give it to Cassio right when I get it, since we're both in Hong kong

That's a shame, Dr. P, but I guess you have to respect your parents' decision. Although I have to say I don't understand it...do they realise that you've only given your address to one stranger on the internet?

Well, it is on the way. You have about ten days to convince them.
Man, postage is pricey. UPS wanted $106.00 to ship. I ended up using the USPS as it was about half that amount.
As for the camera, it is lovely. I ran two rolls (one b&w and one colour,) and have yet to get the color roll developed. I will save my fourth post for something on that roll.

My experience is that US and Australian postage is the most expensive.
Australian delivery times are also long for some reason, unless you choose the high cost option.

Called up the Post Office.
It was delivered to the house on Sept. 11th.
She started a dispute with the Hong Kong Post Office, and they will provide proof of delivery. They have 24 days to provide the proof. :-(
Polaris, maybe you can call on your end. The customs tracking number is:
CP65 1972 284U S
Let me know if there is anything I can do on my end. It was insured for $75.00, but I think it will be hard to submit a claim if they said it was delivered. Maybe your parents have it?

Yes. A Red, white, and blue United States Post Office box. I am surprised the box doesn't say "These Colors Don't Run" or "USA! USA!" all over it.

never actually used flash on my Trip, but yes it will fire automatically. Settings depend on your flash - if it's a purely manual flash you need to set the aperture according to the distance to your subject - there should be a table printed on the back of the flash. If the flash is auto, there will be one or two possible apertures you can use - again there should be information on the flash itself. Be aware that my experience of flash units is limited to 30-year-old models, more modern ones are likely to be very much more sophisticated...

I recently used Blurb for a book of the family holiday. The cover and binding options are great but the quality of the printing is not as good as I'd expect. I've had better from other companies. I'm still indiscussions with them to determine if this is a printing error or their standard quality.

If we had a solid, RL book, it'd feel much more real. Blubr looks nice, but with what harragan said, I have doubts :(
