About TRASHIONISTA - Sustainable style and recycled fashion

I created this group to support sustainable fashion thinking and all you crafty trashionistas out there. If you have made, sewn, knitted, reconstructed clothes or accessories from recycled materials or eco-friendly materials, post your picture here.

Fashion has turned into a fast-changing business that has increased dramatically in the last 50 years. We are buying new clothes more than ever. Google words like "fair trade", "eco fashion", "organic cotton", "sustainable consumption" to find information on how to make your wardrobe (and lifestyle) a bit greener. :)

You don´t have to turn "hippie" to support sustainability. Repair or reconstruckt your old clothes, buy secondhand and donate your old fashions to recycling rather than just throwing them away.
